A hot summer day, and our next visit to Midtown took us to David Weekley Homes. After building homes on the west side of Pecos for several years, David Weekley moved to the east side less than a year ago. There are two series: the Garden collection and the Park. (A third series, Metro, is coming later this year.) Garden series are long and narrow, with small side yards. Park are built on larger lots (at least by Midtown standards). There’s just one model home, called Opal, and it’s a new floorplan that wasn’t built on the west side.
We liked the three-bedroom Opal. It has a study in the front, great room in the back, and a kitchen in the center. And plenty of light: an option for two sliding glass doors and a beautiful staircase overlooked by seven windows.
The David Weekley representative took us through several other houses, some almost ready to move in and others still under construction. I remember the Azure from our first visit, but now we saw a different elevation with a wrap-around balcony. Very nice… except I’m not sure how much we’d use it.
It’s great to see the diversity of homes available at Midtown. We’ve got a lot to consider… and still more models to tour tomorrow.
